Setting up a clinic in a basement space like this one at 2574 Huasolane has its own unique feel. We are located right in the Kingway Camp area, which is a place that feels very lived-in and real. Being downstairs keeps the temperature nice and cool, which is a relief during the hotter months. It’s not the biggest clinic you’ll ever visit, but we have organized the space to make it as functional as possible for our dental work. We spend our days tucked away from the main street noise, focusing on whatever comes through the door. Sometimes it’s a student from nearby needing a quick check-up, and other times it’s a long-time resident who’s been living in the camp for decades. We have a lot of history with the people around here. The light down here is artificial, of course, but we’ve made sure it’s bright enough for us to see exactly what we are doing. We keep our instruments sharp and our workspace scrubbed down constantly. Working in a basement means you don't get much of a view, but it allows us to concentrate. It’s a humble spot, and we like it that way. No one is putting on any acts here. We are just local people providing a service to other local people. It’s honest, steady work, and we appreciate the trust the community puts in us to handle their dental issues without making things complicated.
