We are based in Kolkata, West Bengal. The zip code is 700098. It’s a big city and we are just one small part of it. The name Valj is short, but we’ve been around for a bit. Being in Kolkata means you get used to the noise and the crowds pretty quickly. Our daily routine is much like any other business in this area. We get in, check the mail, and start working through whatever is on the list for that day. The office isn't anything to write home about. It’s a practical space where we get things done. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because that's not what we are about. We just need a place to work and talk to people. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet gets slow, but you just deal with it. It’s part of the charm of working here, I suppose. We have a small team and we all know each other well. Most of us have been living in Bengal our whole lives. We like the food here and the way people talk. The streets outside are always busy with vendors and cars. We just focus on our own tasks and try to stay out of the way. It’s a simple life, really. We do our work, we go home, and we come back and do it again. That’s how a business grows, just by showing up every day. It keeps us busy and out of trouble.
