Our office is in Kolkata, specifically at Meena Green, Flat No G1, Block D. We are located near Chirya More on Kaikhali VIP Road. Being so close to the VIP Road means things are always moving fast outside. You can hear the traffic and the horns all day, but inside the flat, we try to keep things focused. Unity Infraprojects Ltd has this ground-floor spot, which makes it easy for us to move equipment in and out. It’s a residential block, so we have to be mindful of the neighbors. The office isn't anything special to look at. It’s got white walls, some basic fluorescent lighting, and rows of desks. We have a lot of storage for our project files and technical gear. Sometimes it feels a little dark because it's on the ground floor, but we have enough lamps to see what we are doing. Working in Kolkata has its own rhythm. We deal with the monsoon rains and the humidity just like everyone else. There’s usually a stack of umbrellas by the door. We aren't a big corporate outfit with a fancy lobby. We’re just a small team in a flat, working through blueprints and talking to contractors on the phone. It’s a bit crowded when everyone is here at once, but we get the job done.
