U Flex

You can find U Flex on the 3rd floor of 11 Khairu Place. We are in Room No. 1. It is an old building and the elevator does not always work, so we end up taking the stairs quite a bit. That is good for the legs, I guess. The room is filled with rolls of material and the smell of ink. We have been doing this for a while now. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful where we step. There is a desk in the corner where we do the computer work, but most of the room is for the machines. They make a humming sound that you get used to after an hour. We don't have many people working here, just a few of us. We spend the day cutting things to size and making sure the colors look right. Sometimes the edges aren't perfect on the first try, so we do it again. It is not a corporate office with carpets. The floor is concrete and we have a small window that looks out over the street. When it rains, we have to make sure the windows are shut tight so the paper doesn't get damp. People come up the stairs looking for us, and we usually have a cup of tea ready. It’s a simple life in a busy part of town. We just keep the machines running and handle the orders as they come. It's mostly rolls of flex piled up to the ceiling.
