Techno Electric & Engineering Co.Ltd is based in Vill-Daharpota, near Baneswarpur in the North 24 Parganas district. It is a bit of a journey to get here if you are coming from the main city, but it is a good location for the work we do. The office is right in the heart of the village. We have a lot of space for our equipment and for the trucks that come in and out throughout the week. Most of our staff are local people who have been with us for a long time. We don't have a polished corporate image; we are more about getting our hands dirty and fixing things. The office floor is usually covered in bits of wire and metal shavings. We have a small room in the back for the paperwork, which usually ends up in messy piles despite our best efforts to stay organized. The weather here in West Bengal can be tough, especially during the monsoon when the roads get muddy and slow everything down. We just wear our boots and keep going. We don’t have a fancy website or a mission statement pinned to the wall. Our focus is just on the engineering projects we have lined up. The neighbors often drop by just to say hello or ask for a bit of help with a household fuse or a broken light. It’s that kind of place. We appreciate the quiet routine of life here in Daharpota and the fact that everyone knows everyone else.
