We’ve been operating the Tata Teleservices branch from here for quite some time now. The building is an older one, which is common in this part of West Bengal, 700059. It’s got that specific Kolkata feel to it—a bit crowded but everyone knows each other. Our office inside is packed with wires, routers, and stacks of paper. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is. We spend our days dealing with the technical side of the telecom business. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to hear, but we’re used to it. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that; we just handle the local stuff. Lunch is usually something from the local vendors nearby. It’s a lot of repetitive work, checking connections and updating records, but it’s what we do. We don't use big words or try to sound like a massive corporation. We’re just the group of people working in Rabindrapally to keep the service going. It’s a bit messy and loud sometimes, but it’s a good place to work. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure the local lines are working okay. We just sit at our desks and get through the pile of work every morning until it's time to head home.
