We are based out of Madhyamgram, which is a bit of a commute if you are coming from the main part of Kolkata, but we like it here in West Bengal. The office is right near the post office, so it makes sending out mail and documents pretty easy for us. We handle various projects and marketing work, similar to what you’d find in any busy town. There is a small group of us here, and we’ve known each other for a long time now. The building we are in is an older one, so it has its quirks, like the fans that click or the door that doesn't always want to stay shut. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or decorations. Most of our budget goes into the actual work we are doing for our clients. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure people are where they are supposed to be and that the deadlines aren't missed by too much. The monsoons here can be pretty heavy, and sometimes the street outside floods, which makes getting to work an adventure. We usually just hunker down and keep going through it. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide for our families and keep the business running smoothly year after year. It’s quiet work, mostly involving phones and computers and the occasional meeting in a cramped room with too much paper.
