Smilax International India

Smilax International India is based out of Dattapukur in the 24 Paraganas district. Specifically, we are in the Mannapara area of Nebadhui. It is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the main city, but it’s where we have our setup. The pin is 743248. The atmosphere here is quite different from a big city office. It’s much more laid back, though we still have plenty of work to get through. We handle international trade and logistics from this small corner of West Bengal. Our office doesn't have any flashy signs or modern art. It’s just a practical space where we can sit down and focus on the export and import details. Most of us live nearby, so we know the community well. We spend a lot of time on the computer checking shipping lanes and talking to agents in other ports. Sometimes we just sit and have tea while waiting for a confirmation to come through from someone on the other side of the world. It’s a very human way of doing business. We don't use big words or try to sound more important than we are. We just know how to get products from one country to another and we do the paperwork that's required. It’s steady work and it keeps the lights on. We keep our logs updated and move on to the next one.
