SMDGULMOHAR TEXTILE STUDIO LLP

Our studio, SMDGULMOHAR TEXTILE STUDIO LLP, is located at 18/1 Dakhin Para Road. We are out in Barasat, specifically the Barasat-I area of North 24 Parganas. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but we like the slower pace here. We call it a textile studio because that’s really what it is, a place where we work with different designs and fabrics. The address 18/1 is pretty easy to find once you are on Dakhin Para Road. We have been here for a while, and the neighborhood knows us. It’s a mix of residential houses and small businesses all around us. Our work involves a lot of looking at patterns and choosing the right textiles for different projects. We aren't a big factory, just a small LLP trying to make a living and do good work. The office is practical, with enough room for our desks and the fabric samples we need to keep on hand. West Bengal has a long history with textiles, and we are just another small piece of that tradition in our own way. We spend our mornings on the phone or checking deliveries that come in. By the afternoon, we are usually sorting through the latest textile batches. It is a quiet kind of work most days, which suits us just fine. If you are ever near the Po and Ps in Barasat, you might see our sign. We are just local people doing our best with the textiles we have. It is a nice way to spend the day.
