Down here in Khari, things move a bit slower than in the city. Our college is located in South 24 Parganas, and it’s a quiet area most of the time. We mainly focus on training people to become teachers, which is a big deal around these parts. The building is simple, nothing too elaborate, just the classrooms and a bit of space for the staff to sit. On rainy days, the roads around here can get a bit muddy, which makes it a challenge for the students coming from the surrounding villages. Plenty of local faces walk through the doors every day. Most of the people working here have been around for years, so we all know each other well. There isn’t a huge cafeteria or anything, just a few spots nearby where you can get a quick bite. We spend a lot of time preparing for the different semesters and making sure the library books are in order. It’s an honest kind of work. You won't find any glossy brochures or fancy signs. It’s just a place where people come to learn how to teach. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait for it to come back while sitting in the shade. It’s a very grounded environment. We care about getting the job done without making a fuss about it. The students here are hardworking, and they mostly just want to finish their training and find a job in a local school. It's a plain, useful place for the community.
