Shalimar Wires Industries Ltd

Our location is out in Bandipur, near the Shibmandir in the Khardah area of North 24 Parganas. It’s a bit of a journey from the main part of Kolkata, but this is where Shalimar Wires Industries Ltd has its roots for this section. The Shibmandir is a local landmark that everyone knows, so we usually tell people to look for that if they get lost. Being near the river means the air is a bit different, and the monsoon hits us pretty hard. The office itself is quite plain. We have some old wooden desks and a few fans that hum all day long. We don't really have a lot of visitors, mostly just transport guys and some local contractors. It's a quiet spot compared to the city center. We keep track of the production and the shipping schedules from here. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, so we have to do things the old-fashioned way with ledgers and phone calls. It’s a very local operation. We know the shopkeepers nearby and we usually get our samosas from the same guy every evening. There’s no corporate ladder here, just a small group of us trying to keep things moving. We’ve been here for years, and we’ve seen the town grow around us. It’s just home for our work. We even have a small garden patch out back that we try to keep tidy, though the weeds usually win.
