S. S. E. Nirman (P) Ltd

We are located in Salt Lake, over in Sector 2. Our office is at Ee 54, specifically in Flat 6. Salt Lake is a bit more organized than the rest of Kolkata, which usually makes getting to the office a little easier for everyone. We focus on what we call Nirman, which basically means building and development. We are a small private company. We do not have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist at the front. It is just a regular flat where we turned the rooms into our offices. We have blueprints pinned on the walls and a few computers for the engineers to use. Most of the time, the flat is actually quite quiet because everyone is out at the various construction sites. We handle residential projects mostly. It is a lot of checking on contractors and making sure the bricks being used are the right quality. We have had some tough times lately with the prices of materials going up, but we manage to get through it. We are not trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just want to finish the buildings we have already started. We drink a lot of coffee in this office. Sometimes we stay late when a project deadline is getting close. It is just practical work with no big speeches or mission statements. We just look at the drawings and see how to get the walls up.
