Our office for Rockwell Automation India Pvt Ltd is located in Kolkata, specifically at C-3/3 in the Sonar Kella Apartments. We are right by the 3rd Gate in Basunagar, Madhyamgram. It’s a bit away from the very center of Kolkata, which actually makes it a bit easier for some of us to get to work without fighting the worst of the city traffic. The apartment building is a nice enough place to spend the day. We’ve set up our workspace to be as efficient as possible, even if it’s not a huge corporate floor. We have plenty of shelves for our manuals and the equipment we handle. Madhyamgram is a growing area, and we see a lot of activity around here lately. Most of our day involves checking orders, talking to people about their automation needs, and making sure the right parts are getting to the right places. It can be a lot of repetitive work, but it’s important for keeping things running. We aren't a big team, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the door to troubleshooting technical issues on the phone. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just show up, try to be helpful, and make sure the business stays on track. It’s a decent way to earn a living and we like being part of the community in Basunagar.
