R.L. Construction

Our office for R.L. Construction is located right near the 2No. Airport Gate in the Motilal Colony area of Dumdum. Being so close to the airport means we hear the planes all day, but we have lived in Kolkata so long that we barely notice it anymore. We are based near P.O. Rajbari, and it is a pretty convenient spot for us to get around the city. The office itself is nothing special to look at. It is just a room filled with files, some old desks, and a lot of project drawings. We don't have any fancy signs or a big reception area. Most of the time, it’s just a few of us sitting around talking about the latest job or trying to figure out why a delivery is late. Building things is hard work and it gets pretty dusty, so we aren't the type to wear expensive clothes to work. We just want to get the job done and make sure the walls are straight. Sometimes the traffic in Dumdum makes it hard to get anywhere on time, but we do our best. We’ve seen this neighborhood grow a lot over the years, and we’ve had a hand in some of that. We aren't looking for awards or big headlines. We just like to work with our hands and see a project through to the end. It is a simple life and a simple business, and that is exactly how we like it. We are just here every day, trying to build something decent.
