Podder Coffee

You can find us in Habra, right near the Baroda Bank on Babu Dr. Lane. It’s a handy location because everyone knows the bank. Our shop is small, and the smell of coffee beans is usually the first thing people notice when they walk in. We don't have a lot of space for fancy furniture, so it’s mostly just the roasting equipment and bags of green beans waiting to be processed. The lane outside is narrow, so it gets jammed when a delivery truck tries to squeeze through. We spend a lot of time watching the beans to make sure they don't overcook. It’s a bit of a messy job sometimes with the husks flying around. We have a regular crowd of locals who stop by just to say hello or see what’s fresh. There’s no big marketing team here, just us making coffee and bagging it up. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the afternoon fixing a belt or cleaning out a filter. It’s not glamorous work, but there is something nice about seeing the finished bags lined up on the counter. We keep our records in a simple notebook and try to stay on top of things. When the rain starts, the lane gets quite muddy, and we have to be careful moving the stock. It’s just a normal day-to-day life for us here, nothing too complicated about it. We just hope the power stays on long enough to finish the batch before we have to lock up.
