Naihati Genral State Hospital

Naihati General State Hospital is located in North 24 Parganas, right in the Naihati area near the Hooghly. It is a government facility, so it is a very large and very busy place. Every day, hundreds of people come through our doors. The building is old and has seen better days, with long corridors that seem to go on forever. Because it is a general hospital, we see a bit of everything. There are always people waiting in the halls on the wooden benches we have lined up. It can be quite loud and chaotic at times, especially during the peak hours in the morning. The doctors and nurses are always rushing around from one ward to another. We have a lot of different departments, so it can be hard for people to find where they need to go. We do our best to help them navigate the building. The walls are covered in old posters and signs that have been there for years. We don't have the luxury of new furniture or high-tech gadgets in every room. We make do with what we have to help as many people as possible. It’s a tough environment to work in sometimes because of the sheer number of patients, but it’s an essential service for the people in Naihati. We just keep showing up and doing what needs to be done every single day.
