Our spot is out in Arrabindapally, which is part of Ichapur near Nawabganj. We’re tucked away in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. It’s a bit of a journey to get here from the city, but it’s a good location for the type of work we do. We’re part of ITD Cementation, focusing on the engineering and construction side of things. The office here is surrounded by a bit of greenery, which is nice when you need a break from the screens. We don’t have any slick marketing people or big logos on the walls. It’s just us, some worn-out chairs, and a lot of technical drawings. We spend our days coordinating with the crews on the ground and making sure the supplies arrive on time. The humidity here in West Bengal can be a lot, especially during the monsoon season. We just deal with it and keep the work moving. Most of the people working here are locals from the village or nearby towns. We aren't a corporate giant with a thousand rules; we just want to get the projects finished properly. Sometimes we have to stay late when a shipment is delayed. We’re practical people doing a practical job. You won't find any empty promises here. Just some hard workers trying to make sure the cement and steel are handled correctly. It's a decent living and we take pride in the stuff we build.
