Mondal Hardware

Mondal Hardware is located right in Reckjoani, over in the Rajarhat area of 24 Parganas North. If you know that part of the district, you know it is growing fast with all the new buildings going up everywhere. We are right in the middle of it all. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with all kinds of bits and pieces—nails, hammers, pipes, and buckets. It can be hard to find exactly what you need if you aren't used to the layout, but we usually know where everything is buried. The floors are concrete and usually have some dust on them from the bags of cement being moved around. People from the local construction sites come in all day long looking for things they forgot or ran out of. We don't have a website or any of that fancy stuff. Most people just walk in or shout from their trucks. Rajarhat is a busy place these days, and we try to keep up with the pace as much as a small hardware shop can. Sometimes the deliveries show up late because of the traffic on the main road, but we manage to get by. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see different people behind the counter depending on the time of day. We just focus on keeping the shelves stocked with the basics that everyone in Reckjoani needs for their homes and projects.
