Out here in Bhatpara, things feel a little different than the main city center of Kolkata. Our office for Maco Corporation is at 3/1 Banerjee Para Road. It is in the 24 Pgs North district. The pin code is 743123 if you are trying to find us on a map for a delivery. It is a bit of a drive to get here but we like the pace of the neighborhood. The building is just a regular place with stairs and narrow hallways. We do not have any fancy receptionists or leather sofas in a lobby. Just a few desks, some chairs, and our filing cabinets. We spend a lot of the day checking on orders and making sure the paperwork is correct for the week. There is a small tea shop just down the street where we usually go when we need a break from the computer screen. The street can get quite narrow, especially when trucks are trying to pass through in the afternoon. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat for a minute. We have been here for a while and most people on the block know who we are. It is a straightforward operation we have going on. We do not really do much in the way of big meetings. Usually, it is just us and the phones. The weather gets pretty humid so we keep the fans running all day long. It is just a normal office where we do our daily jobs without too much fuss.
