If you want to find us, you have to head out to Village Mondalpara in the Gaighata area. We are located near Manik Tal, which is a spot most locals know pretty well. The Maa Gandheswari Foundation is based right here in the North 24 Parganas. It’s a rural setting, so things move a bit slower than in the city. Our office is just a small building in Matuadham Mondalpara. We don’t have a lot of high-tech gear, just some basic stuff to keep our records straight. The roads can get quite muddy when it rains heavily, but we still make our rounds to see everyone. We spend a lot of time just sitting and talking with the villagers about their daily lives. It’s not about being some big organization; it’s about being neighbors. We know the names of the local kids and where the best tea is served. Our team is just a handful of dedicated people who live in the village themselves. We don’t have a fancy website or any promotional videos. We just show up and do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to work by candlelight, but that’s just how it goes here. It’s a humble life, and we are fine with that. We just want to be useful to the people living in this corner of West Bengal.
