L.K.I Construction Private Limited has its main office at Bl-170 in Salt Lake, Kolkata. It is a busy part of the city, and our building is just one of many in the block. We aren't always in the office because most of the real work happens out at the construction sites. When we are here, it is usually to look at blueprints or talk about where the next load of bricks is coming from. Salt Lake is a good area, but the traffic can make it hard to get around. We have a small team of people who handle the books and the phone calls. We aren't a massive firm with hundreds of employees. It is just a private company doing what we can. Sometimes the weather in Kolkata makes it hard to stay on schedule, especially during the heavy rains. We have had our share of problems over the years, like machines breaking down at the wrong time. We just fix them and keep going. The office itself is pretty plain, with just some old tables and a few computers that have seen better days. We don't spend money on fancy decorations. Most people in the neighborhood know where we are. We just do our jobs and try to build things that will last for a while. It is a lot of grit and sweat, but that is the nature of construction work.
