Our office for the ECC Division is located over in Garifa, which is in the North 24 Parganas area. Specifically, we are at 106/12/1 R.B.C. Road, in the Rajbandigarh neighborhood. If you are looking for us, we are right behind the UBI Garifa Branch. It is a busy little area with a lot of local shops and people walking around. The building we are in is tucked away a bit, so you have to look closely to find the entrance. Inside, it is a pretty functional space. We have got our files, a few old desks, and the usual office stuff. It is not a very big place, so things can get a bit cluttered with all the blueprints and equipment manuals we keep around. Most of our work involves managing the construction sites in this part of West Bengal. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with vendors and laborers. The sounds of the street and the bank next door are always in the background. It is an honest, working-class kind of neighborhood, and we fit right in. We do not have any fancy meeting rooms, so we usually just talk over tea at someone’s desk. It is a no-nonsense environment where we just focus on getting the job done day by day.
