King Decorators & Queen Caterers

We’ve been working out of Sector 1 in Salt Lake City for quite a few years now. King Decorators & Queen Caterers is tucked away at AC 53, and it’s always a bit of a mess with rolls of fabric and bags of spices sitting near each other. It’s a family thing, really. One side of the family handles the flowers and the tents while the other side stays in the kitchen. Salt Lake can be a bit quiet, but our place is usually buzzing with people coming in to talk about their daughter’s wedding or some big party. We don't have those fancy computer programs to show you pictures, we just pull out old photo albums and point at what we did last year. Sometimes the fabric for the decorations gets stuck in traffic, and we’re all sitting around worried until the truck shows up. In the kitchen, it’s a lot of steam and loud voices. We don't follow those strict corporate rules about everything. If a customer wants something a bit different, we just try to figure out how to do it. The name sounds a bit grand, but we are just regular people wearing aprons and carrying ladders. It’s long hours and your feet really ache by Saturday night. But we’ve lived here a long time and everyone knows where we are if they need us.
