Kaushalya Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd is based out here in the village of Maguruti. Our mailing goes through the post office in Taragunia and we fall under the Baduria police station. This is in the 24 Parganas North district, pin 743401. It is a lot quieter out here than in the big cities, which we mostly prefer. We focus on infrastructure development. Most of our work is spread across the district, so we spend a lot of time traveling between different spots. Life in the village moves at its own pace, but the work we do keeps us pretty active. We aren't some massive corporation with a glass building. It is just us working out of this area. Sometimes the roads aren't the best, especially when the rains come, but we manage to get where we need to be. We've lived and worked in this part of West Bengal for quite a while. Everyone around here knows the landmarks. We handle the planning and the labor that goes into building stuff that the community uses. It is practical work. We do not use big words or try to act like we are something we are not. We just look at what needs building and we figure out the best way to do it with what we have. It takes patience. We just keep moving forward with one project at a time. It keeps the bills paid and the lights on in the office.
