Jindal Stainless Ltd

We are situated at 8/16, Purbapally, which is in the Sodepur area of Kolkata, postal code 700110. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city center, but Sodepur has its own rhythm. Our office for Jindal Stainless Ltd is tucked away in a residential street. The lane at Purbapally is somewhat narrow, so big vehicles have a hard time getting right to the door. We have been here for a good while. The building has that old Kolkata charm, which basically means it's a bit worn down but sturdy. Inside, we have our desks and a lot of cabinets for all the paperwork we deal with. The humidity in Kolkata can be quite something, so we have a couple of old fans that rattle while they spin. We spend our days mostly answering emails and dealing with local logistics. It’s a quiet spot, apart from the sound of the local vendors shouting their wares on the street. We usually bring our own lunch and eat together in the small break area. There isn't a lot of space for extras, so every inch of the office is used for something. People in the neighborhood are friendly and often stop to chat if they see the door open. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don't have any of those modern office perks, just a place to sit and get the job done every day.
