Our base is over in Kalyangarh, which sits in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. The specific spot is 1495/A/10, and it’s a pretty standard place for a business like ours. It isn't in the middle of a big city hub, which actually makes it a bit easier for us to focus on what we need to do. The atmosphere around here is quite local and relaxed. We have been working out of this location for a while, dealing with various cementation and foundation projects in the region. Most of the people working here are from the nearby areas, so we have a good connection to the community. The office is full of maps and technical schedules. It’s the kind of place where you’ll see muddy boots by the door because someone just came back from a site visit. We don't bother with corporate slogans or anything like that. We just focus on the daily grind and making sure the jobs are done properly. The weather plays a big part in our schedule, especially when the rains hit this part of the state. We spend our mornings checking the equipment lists and our afternoons catching up on reports. It’s a steady pace of work. We’ve got a small kitchen where we make our own coffee and lunch. It feels like a real team effort every day. Sometimes we stay late to finish up paperwork.
