Down in Belgharia, specifically on K.C.C Mitra Street, is where we set up our operations. Kolkata has a certain way about it, especially in these older neighborhoods where the streets are a bit narrow and the energy is always high. Our place at 11/1 is right in the middle of it all. It is not a shiny new skyscraper, but it has plenty of character and serves its purpose for our cementation work. We see a lot of people passing by every day. The local tea stalls are where we usually end up during our breaks to talk about the latest project hurdles. Inside the office, it’s mostly desks piled with folders and a few computers that have seen better days. We don't go for the polished look because our work is gritty and involves a lot of time on site. Being in West Bengal, we deal with the monsoon rains and the heat, but the work doesn't stop. We have a solid crew here who knows the city like the back of their hand. Getting supplies in and out of this street can be a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but we’ve gotten good at navigating the logistics. It’s a busy life, and we like the rhythm of this area. There is always someone working late or coming in early to prep for a big pour. It’s just how we do things. No one wears suits here, just regular work clothes.
