Haldia Petrochemicals Limited

Our office for Haldia Petrochemicals Limited is based in Salt Lake City, specifically in Block 255 of Sector II, Kolkata. This part of the city is much more organized than the older areas, so it’s a bit easier to get around. We are in a standard office building with several other companies nearby. It is a lot quieter here than at the actual plant sites. We handle a lot of the administrative and coordination work from this location. The office inside is mostly rows of desks with people busy on their phones or typing away. We have a small pantry where people gather for their morning tea and a bit of gossip about the weekend. The commute is pretty easy since the roads in Salt Lake are wide, though the traffic near the main junctions can still be a pain. We don't have any of those modern open-plan offices with bean bags; it's all very traditional with proper cabins and desks. Most of us have our own routines, and the atmosphere is generally quite calm. We spend our time going through reports and making sure the logistics for the main facility are handled correctly. It’s a solid, steady place to work where we just get through the day's tasks without a lot of fuss. When the clock hits five or six, most of us head out to catch the bus or meet friends.
