Our office is out in Salt Lake City, specifically in Sector 1, over at CB-7. It’s a bit of a different vibe than the middle of Kolkata because things are a little more spread out here. We are quite close to the City Centre mall, so we often see people walking by after they’ve been out shopping or grabbing a bite to eat. Being in the tour and travel business here means we spend a lot of time talking to families who want to go away for the weekend or planning longer trips across the country. The office is a fairly simple space with a few desks and some chairs for visitors. We don’t have any big posters or fancy lights. It’s just a place to work. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the computer for the latest rates. Salt Lake is generally quieter than places like Park Street, which we appreciate. Sometimes we go out near the mall for a break when the work gets a bit much. We’ve been at this location for a while now and most of the locals know where to find us. We don’t really do any big marketing; we just focus on the task at hand. It’s about getting the bookings confirmed and making sure the hotels are ready. It’s a lot of small steps that make up our workday. It’s just how we do things here.
