We are located at 32 Morrium Mahal, right in the heart of Sadar Bazar in Barrackpore. It is a very old part of the Kolkata area with a lot of history in the streets. Being in Sadar Bazar means it is always noisy outside with people buying things and rickshaws going past. Our office is inside the Morrium Mahal building. It’s a bit of a maze to find the right door, but once you are inside, it’s just a standard government work space for West Bengal. We have tall ceilings and old windows that let in the sound of the market. There are always tea stalls nearby where we get our morning chai. We handle a lot of different records here. The floors are stone and they stay cool even when it is humid outside. We don't have any big posters or fancy lights. It’s mostly wooden cabinets and desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We are at 700120 if you are looking for the postal zone. Working here means being part of the daily bustle of Barrackpore. We see people from all walks of life coming in. It is a busy spot, and we just do what we can with the time we have each day. Sometimes the stairs are a bit steep and the lighting is dim in the hallways, but we are used to it by now. It is just another day at the office for us in this corner of India.
