Global Business Center

Global Business Center is run out of Dhaltitha in Basirhat. We are located at the residence of Pravash Pramanik, so it has more of a home-office feel than a big corporate building. This part of 24 Parganas North is mostly residential and small farms, so it’s a bit of a drive to get to the bigger towns. We’ve been operating from here for a few years now. The name sounds a bit grand, but really it’s just us helping out with local business needs and paperwork. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, though you can hear the local traffic on the main road from time to time. We don't have any flashy signs outside, just a simple place where work gets done. Most of the people who come to see us are locals from Basirhat or the surrounding villages. We spend a lot of our time at the desks, going through files and talking to people who drop in. It’s a very informal setup. Sometimes we sit out on the porch when it’s not too humid to talk about work. We aren't looking to expand into some giant office; we like being right here where we know everyone. It’s a practical way to run things without all the overhead of a city office. Every day is pretty much the same, just steady work.
