Essar Constructions

Over here in Barasat, West Bengal, we run Essar Constructions. It’s a local business through and through. We don't have any branches in the big cities or a fleet of fancy cars. We just have our equipment and a team of guys who know how to work hard. Building things in West Bengal has its own set of challenges, especially with the humidity and the heavy rains we get. We’ve spent many days waiting under a tarp for a storm to pass so we could get back to pouring concrete. We don't use any high-flown language to describe what we do. We just take on jobs that come our way, from simple walls to bigger residential projects around the 700126 area. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy bags and dealing with the heat. We don't have a big office with air conditioning; we’re usually out where the noise and the dust are. People in Barasat know us because we’ve been around for years. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big talk. We just want to make sure the work is done and the building is safe to live in. Sometimes we have to work late to make up for lost time, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. It’s a humble way to make a living, but it feels good to see something you built yourself at the end of the long day.
