Electrosteel Castings Limited

Out here at 105 Sarada Pally, things are a bit different than the main city. Electrosteel Castings Limited has this spot in Barrackpur, near East Kalianibas. It’s a bit of a trek down J R R Road to get to us, but it’s where we handle the operations. The air is a little clearer here, though the factory floor is still as dusty as any other. We have a lot of space for the casting work. The guys have been working these machines for years. Some started when they were quite young and now they’re the ones showing the new kids how to handle the molds. We don't spend much time on fancy talk. We just show up, get the furnace going, and see what needs to be poured for the day. Being near the NCP post makes it easy for the lorries to find us. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. That’s just how it is in this part of Kolkata. We keep our tools sharp and our boots thick because of the scrap metal lying around. It’s a solid place to work if you don’t mind getting your hands dirty. We’ve got a small break room but mostly everyone eats together on the benches. It’s a decent living and we keep the pipes moving.
