We are based on Hridaypur Station Road, right in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. It’s very close to the station, so the sound of the trains is something we hear all day long. Being part of an infrastructure company, we are usually busy with construction details and site reports. This particular office is where the sectional in-charge works from. It’s a dusty place because of all the work going on nearby, and there are always blueprints or maps spread out on the tables. The 700127 area is quite lively, with people constantly rushing to catch their trains. We spend a lot of time checking on supplies and making sure the labor teams have what they need. It’s not a polished environment with glass walls. It’s more of a field office where the boots are usually a bit muddy. We drink a lot of tea while we talk about the progress of the current projects. The Kolkata humidity is always there, and the fans never really stop spinning. We aren't here to do anything other than get the building and road work finished. It’s hard work, and the days can be very long depending on the schedule. We’ve been at this Hridaypur location for some time now, and we’ve become part of the daily scene on Station Road.
