If you go out to Barasat in Kolkata, you will find our little office setup. We are located at House No. 206 in Ward No. 7, specifically in the area known as Aswani Pally. This is a DTDC Courier and Cargo point. Since it is a neighborhood office, the atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. Most of the people who walk through our door are just neighbors sending parcels to their children or relatives in other cities. We also handle some of the bigger cargo for the local businesses operating around Barasat. The office itself is not much to look at. It is just a simple room with a long counter, some heavy-duty scales, and lots of packing tape and cardboard boxes piled up. It gets very humid here during the summer months, so we keep the old fan going all day long. We have been here for a while, so everyone in the ward knows who we are. We are not those corporate types you see in the big city offices. We are just regular people who understand how the courier business works. We spend our days scanning barcodes and loading up the van when it arrives. Sometimes the van is late because the traffic coming from the city is terrible, but that is just part of life in Kolkata. We do not promise anything impossible. We just get your boxes delivered.
