Over in Kolkata, we operate out of Flat E on the second floor of the Gurakesh Housing Society. The address is 11 B.T. Road, and this is where we run the Dhl Lemuir Logistics Pvt Ltd operations, specifically the Dhl-Exel Supply Chain division. Working out of a housing society is a bit different than being in a commercial tower. It’s a lot quieter, and the atmosphere is more relaxed than the usual city rush. We have a small team here that looks after the supply chain side of things. The flat has been converted into an office, so it still has that homey feel with separate rooms for different tasks. We have our desks set up near the windows to get some natural light while we work on our spreadsheets. B.T. Road is always busy outside, so we can hear the buses and trams, but inside the society, it stays fairly calm. We don't have any big corporate signs out front, just a small nameplate by the door. Most of us take the bus to get here or live close enough to ride a bike. We spend our days tracking shipments and talking to vendors. It’s a straightforward job and we try to keep the atmosphere friendly for everyone. We aren't big on meetings or long presentations; we just talk across the rooms to get things sorted. It is a decent place to work, and we like being part of this local community in Kolkata.
