You can find us at 220, Ghosh Para Rd (East) in the Shyamnagar area. We are located right near the Chowringhee Kalibari, so we hear the temple bells throughout the day. Asish Steel Furniture is a local business through and through. We spend our days making all sorts of things out of steel, like cupboards, racks, and sturdy chairs. The workshop is usually filled with the sound of metal being cut or the noise of welding. It is a bit dusty and there are sparks flying every now and then. We are not a fancy showroom with air conditioning or soft music playing. It is a real working shop where things get made by hand. People from around the neighborhood come to see us when they need something that will last a long time in their homes. We don't have a big catalog of items. Usually, a customer just tells us what they need and we try our best to build it for them. Shyamnagar is a very busy place, and being on Ghosh Para Road means there is always some action happening outside our door. Sometimes we sit on the stools we made and have some tea while watching the street. We take our time with the work because we want the joints to be strong. It is not a fast process, but it is how we do things. We have been around for a while now and everyone knows our location.
