Art Flower

Art Flower is based at Plot No.59/109 on Sn Banerjee Road in Barrackpore, which is part of North 24 Parganas. The shop is situated in an area with a lot of history and movement. We don't deal with real flowers that wilt in a couple of days. Instead, we work with materials like cloth, paper, and wire to make things that last. The workspace is usually bright because we need to see the colors clearly. There are bits of wire and scraps of silk all over the place. We’ve been on Sn Banerjee Road for quite some time, and the building itself is an older style that we’ve just made work for us. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes of finished work waiting to be sent out. We don't have a fancy front desk or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’ll likely find one of us hunched over a table with a pair of pliers or a glue pot. The summers in Barrackpore get very hot, so the fans are always on high, which makes the paper scraps blow around sometimes. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours. We just focus on getting the shapes right and making sure nothing falls apart. It’s a simple trade that requires a lot of patience and steady hands, and that’s how we spend our weeks here.
