Anchna Holy Mother Foundation

We are over at Anchna More in Mandirbazar. It’s a busy spot but we like it here. Badal Haldar helps us out with the space. Most people around here know where the "More" is, so it isn't hard to find us if you're walking by. We started this foundation because we saw things that needed doing. There isn't a lot of fancy stuff going on, just us trying to help where it makes sense. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when people drop in to talk. The building isn't brand new or anything, but it works for what we do. We spend a lot of time just talking to the neighbors and figuring out what's next. It’s mostly just a few of us making sure things run okay day to day. We don't have a big office with computers everywhere, just a desk and some chairs and plenty of tea. If you're coming from the main road, just look for the turn-off. We've been at this for a little while now and it’s mostly just local work. It's quiet in the mornings but gets louder later on. We don't do big advertisements or anything like that. People just know us by word of mouth mostly. It's a simple way to run things, and it keeps us busy enough. We hope to stay here for a long time because the community is good to us. That's pretty much how it is. It isn't much but it's ours.
