American Kidz Play School

You can find us at P-109, Bangur Avenue, in Block D. We are right beside the Bangur Boys School. It’s a nice residential neighborhood in Kolkata. Our school is basically a house that we turned into a place for kids. We have colorful walls and lots of toys scattered around. Every morning is a bit chaotic when the parents drop off their little ones. There is a lot of crying and laughing. We have a small outdoor area where the kids can run around a bit. The street outside is quiet most of the time, except when the boys' school next door opens or closes. We have a team of teachers who are really patient. It’s not an easy job, but it’s interesting. We spend our days teaching the alphabet and playing games. We have little chairs and tables that are just the right size for them. Sometimes we have to deal with scraped knees or spills. The building is clean but it definitely looks like a place where children live and play. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just us looking after the kids and making sure they are safe. We have a small office where we keep the records and talk to parents. It’s a very local, friendly atmosphere. Most of the families in Bangur Avenue know who we are. We just try to make it a happy place for the kids.
