Academics

Academics is over here in Salt Lake City Sector 1. The exact spot is C A 113 on Bidhan Nagar Road. If you know where C A Market is, then finding us is easy because we are quite near that. It’s a nice enough area, maybe a bit quieter than the center of the city, but it still gets its fair share of traffic in the afternoons. We spend a lot of time just working through the daily pile of stuff. The building is a typical Salt Lake house, nothing out of the ordinary. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out for a bit, but that’s life in Kolkata. We don’t have a big reception or people in suits. It’s just us. The pin code is 700064 if you’re looking at a map. Being near the market is helpful when we need to grab some lunch or supplies. Academics has been in this particular street for some time. We aren’t trying to be the biggest place around. We just do what we do. People drop by occasionally to talk. Most of the time, the fans are humming and we are just busy with the paperwork. It feels like a lived-in space, not a showroom. We keep the windows open when it’s not too hot. The neighborhood is mostly families and other small offices like ours. It’s a practical place to be based.
