Our office is out in Nokha, which is part of the Bikaner district. Specifically, we are located in Fouji Colony. It’s tucked right behind the bus stand, so it’s actually a very convenient place for people to find us if they are coming into town by bus. You can hear the engines and the conductors shouting throughout the day, which keeps things from being too quiet. S P Modi & Co has been operating from this location for quite some time now. The building itself is just a regular house that we’ve converted into a workspace. It has a very local, neighborhood feel to it. We don’t have a big reception area or anything formal. Usually, you just walk in and someone will be there at a desk. We spend most of our time dealing with paperwork and talking to clients who drop by. It’s a very straightforward way of working. There are a few trees around the colony that provide some shade in the summer months. We like the fact that we aren't in the middle of a high-pressure city center. Nokha is a bit slower, and that suits us just fine. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to keep everything in order. It’s a small operation, run by people who know the area and the people in it. No big fuss, just daily work in a place that feels like home.
