If you go near the Power House by Ambedkar Circle, you’ll find us on Teshil Road. Raj Agencies has been in this spot for quite a few years now. It’s a convenient location because everyone knows the circle and the Power House as a landmark. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a door and a desk and some chairs for people to sit while they wait. We deal with various goods and act as a link for several different businesses. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking sound when it’s on high, but it does the job. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers and checking manifests. It’s a lot of routine work, honestly. We know the neighbors well, and we often share news over the fence or at the corner shop. It gets very busy in the mornings when the sun is still low, and then things quiet down in the heat of the afternoon. We don’t try to act like we’re a big corporation with fancy offices in the city. We’re just local people doing our bit to keep the goods moving through this part of town. It’s a simple life, but we like the people we meet every day. The paperwork is never-ending, but as long as the chai stays hot, we’re doing alright.
