Zazen Restaurant

Our spot is over at Sector 18, specifically at K 1. If you know the area, you know it’s one of the busier parts of town. There is always noise coming from the street, but once you step inside, it feels a bit different. We spend a lot of time on our feet. The floors at K 1 are tile, so we have to be careful when we mop so nobody slips. We start early, usually before the sun is fully up, to get the kitchen humming. It’s a lot of small tasks that add up. We check the stock, prep the tables, and make sure the menus aren't sticky. Working in Sector 18 means we see all kinds of people. Some are in a rush, others want to linger. We don't have a big corporate team; it’s just us here doing the daily work. Sometimes the fridge in the back gets a bit too cold and we have to keep an eye on the vegetables. It’s not a perfect place, but it’s ours. We take pride in the fact that we show up and do the job right. The street outside is usually full of cars, and the evening rush can be pretty intense. We just keep our heads down and stay busy. It’s honest work, and it keeps us occupied from morning until late at night. That’s just how it is here.
