Down in Phase-2 of Gautam Budh Nagar, we have our unit at B-105. It’s a pretty standard industrial building, nothing too special to look at from the street. Inside is where all the actual work happens. We have a lot of racks filled with bins of resistors, capacitors, and various chips. The floor is painted gray, but it’s peeling in a few spots where the heavy carts get pushed around every day. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and setting up the lines for whatever we are working on. There’s a specific smell of hot plastic and solder that hits you the moment you walk in. We don’t have a big HR department or a bunch of managers in offices; we just have a supervisor who walks around and makes sure we aren’t running too far behind. The work can be repetitive, but we try to keep things organized so nobody gets confused about the orders. We use some older machines that need a bit of a kick sometimes to keep running, but they still do the job just fine for what we need. During the rainy season, the roof leaks a little near the back door, so we have to move the boxes out of the way. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours. We just come in, do the work, and head home once the shift is finally over.
