Varsha Batteries

Varsha Batteries is located in the Sector 16 Central Auto Market at B 174. If you’ve ever been to the auto market, you know it’s a place of grease, loud noises, and the constant smell of engine oil. Our shop is right in the middle of all that. We have stacks of heavy lead batteries lining the walls, and the floor is usually a bit stained from years of work. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just a practical space where we test batteries and swap out old ones for cars and inverters. My hands are almost always black with soot and grime by the end of the day, and there’s no point in wearing nice clothes to work here. We mostly deal with local mechanics and people whose cars won't start in the morning. It’s a tough environment, especially in the peak of summer when the heat from the pavement is almost unbearable. We drink a lot of water and chat with the guys from the tire shop next door. There’s no marketing talk here. We just check the voltage, see if the battery is dead, and tell you what it costs to get a new one. We’ve been at B 174 for a long time, and we’ve seen the market change quite a bit, but the work stays the same. It’s just a simple, honest shop doing its daily work. We close up when the sun goes down and the market gets quiet.
