The Kitchen Boutique

The Kitchen Boutique is tucked away in Sector 9 at E-96. It’s not a huge place, but we have enough room to show some of the kitchen setups and cabinets we work on. It started out because we noticed people in the neighborhood wanted better ways to organize their cooking space. My desk is usually covered in drawings and measurements. I spend a lot of time talking to people about where their stove should go or how many drawers they need. Sector 9 is a quiet residential area, so it’s nice working here. We don't get a huge rush of people, mostly just locals who are fixing up their homes. The samples on the walls are a bit dusty sometimes. We try to keep it looking nice, but when we're cutting wood or moving frames, it gets messy fast. I usually have a measuring tape around my neck and a pencil behind my ear. It’s practical work. We aren't trying to be some big luxury brand. We just want to make kitchens that actually work for regular families. Sometimes a design doesn't fit quite right and we have to adjust it on the fly. That’s just how building things goes. We’ve had the same small crew for a couple of years. They know how I like things done. We just show up every morning and get to work on whatever project is next. It’s rewarding when a kitchen finally comes together after weeks of planning and building.
