Our setup is at C-76 in Section 88, which is part of Phase 2. It’s an industrial plot, so there aren’t many shops or houses around, just other units like ours. The name of the business is SUN LIGHT, and we’ve been working out of this space for a decent amount of time. The building itself is straightforward—lots of concrete and big doors for loading. We mostly handle things related to lighting, as the name suggests. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and workbenches. We aren’t big on fancy office furniture. We’d rather have space for the products and the tools we use every day. The people working here are a small group, and we’ve all known each other for years. We usually have a radio playing in the background while we check the quality of the items or pack them up for shipping. The roads in Phase 2 can be a bit rough, especially when it rains, but we manage. It’s a quiet kind of work most of the time, punctuated by the occasional truck arrival. We don't put out flyers or do much promotion. People who need what we make usually find us through the address or because they’ve worked with us before. It’s a basic, honest way to run a business, and we are fine with that. We just focus on getting the day's tasks done and keeping things moving. Every week is mostly the same but we like it.
