Subtle Electronic Systems

Subtle Electronic Systems is based in B-9, Sector-2. It’s a standard industrial-type block. We don’t have any big neon signs or flashy displays out front. If you walked by, you might not even realize what we do. Inside, it’s mostly workbenches and soldering stations. There’s always a faint smell of burnt solder in the air, which we don’t even notice anymore. Sector-2 is a practical place to be. It’s not fancy, but it has everything we need to keep things running. Our desks are usually covered in components and half-finished circuit boards. We try to keep things organized, but in the middle of a job, things tend to get messy. We aren't a huge corporation with a human resources department. It’s just a small team of us who know our way around electronics. We spend most of the day troubleshooting or assembling systems. Sometimes we have to wait weeks for a specific part to arrive, which can be frustrating. The break room is just a corner with a kettle and some biscuits. We don't spend much time there anyway. Most of our life happens at the benches. The lighting is a bit harsh, but you need it to see the small parts clearly. We’ve been in this B-9 unit for a few years and it’s become quite familiar. It’s a quiet, steady kind of life here in the sector. We just do our work.
