If you walk down towards the Shiv Mandir in Bhangel Phase II, you will find Shree Balaji Paints & Hardware Store. We are very close to the temple, so we hear the bells and the morning prayers every day. It is a nice atmosphere to work in. Our shop is packed with all kinds of stuff, from plumbing pipes to different shades of interior paint. We try to keep everything in some kind of order, but when it gets busy, boxes end up in the aisles. It is a local spot where people come when a tap leaks or they want to freshen up a room. We know many of our customers by name because they live just a few streets away. We aren't running some huge corporate warehouse. It is just a regular store where we do our best to help out. Sometimes we run out of a certain color and have to wait for the delivery truck to show up from the main city. That is just part of the routine. We spend a lot of time giving advice on which primer works better for damp walls. It is honest work and it keeps us connected to the community here in Bhangel. We don't have fancy displays, just shelves full of things people actually use. Every morning we sweep the front and wait for the first customer to come by after they finish their morning temple visit.
